About Hozameen Design Studio

Hozameen Design Studio is a one-person workshop in Bellingham, Washington — where the Cascades meet the Salish Sea. The name comes from Hozomeen Mountain, a twin-peaked summit deep in the North Cascades that stands as a quiet symbol of wilderness and self-reliance.

What we make

Every product starts with a real need or a material worth working with. From there it gets designed, prototyped, and refined until it works the way it should. Some pieces are shaped from foraged wood, others are precision-printed in durable composites, and some combine both. The methods vary, but the standard doesn't — everything that leaves the workshop is functional, well-made, and built to last.

How we work

No mass production, no warehouse, no staff — just one maker working through problems and building things that are genuinely useful. Each product is made to order or in small batches. That means no two pieces are exactly alike, especially the wood pieces where natural grain, bark texture, and color vary from one to the next.

Why it matters

In a world of disposable goods and algorithmically optimized everything, there is something worth preserving about objects made with intention. Buying from Hozameen means supporting a small operation that values craft over scale, quality over speed, and materials you can actually feel in your hands.
